Shankar is a passionate photographer who has been pursuing photography for the last 15 years and travelled extensively in India and abroad. He is passionate about Travel photography and portraiture and loves to create stories about the places he goes to. He also has his interests in creating mini multimedia documentaries using photographs and music from his various travels.
His photographs from Rajasthan, Mathura, Allahabad has got him international recognition from the prestigious International Photography Awards, International Color awards and Black and White Spider awards. He has exhibited his pictures in some of the prestigious galleries in India and many of his pictures have sold multiple prints.
He has mentored many aspiring photography enthusiasts though his photography group “Thank God It’s Saturday” (TGIS) which was set up mainly to provide a platform for new and upcoming photographers .
He has worked on some international projects documenting minority women self-help groups as well as contemporary wedding photography .
